GRANT AWARD 2023

The Bannock County Historical Society is pleased to announce that we have been awarded an Idaho State Historical Records Advisory Board Grant (SHRAB), funded by National Historical Publications and Records Commission in the amount of $2000, for the purpose of creating a more searchable, accurate, and shareable electronic database for our historic photograph collection. 

Grant Award 2023

The Bannock County Historical Society is please to announce that we have been awarded a Community Enhancement Grant from the Idaho State Historical Society for $2000 to revamp and move our Military History Exhibit at the Pocatello Airport.  The changes will make the exhibit more complete and able to be enjoyed by all visitors to the airport, not just those who are cleared to fly.  We are looking forward to this project, which is is being undertaken with the support of this grant and the Pocatello Airport staff. 

Esto Perpetua Award 2016

Esto Perpetua Award “Let it Be Perpetual” Given by the Idaho State Historical Society 

Named after Idaho's state motto, the "Esto Perpetua" award acknowledges and thanks people and organizations who make a difference in preserving and promoting Idaho history. Winners have demonstrated their commitment to inspire further action and understanding of preservation and history through professional accomplishment, public service, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Since the award was created in 1999, over 100 individuals and organizations from throughout the state have been honored.
